Our Cornish Crab is one of the best types of seafood around. These creatures thrive in the rugged Cornish shoreline, with numerous hiding places.
We take pride in carefully choosing the highest quality crabs from reliable suppliers. Small, family-owned dayboats transport seasonal crabs daily. Our seafood is both delicious and sustainable, thanks to the cordial crab-catching method known as potting. The skilled team takes the meat out of cooked crabs and skillfully mixes the white and brown meat together to make a delicious dish inside the shells.
- Our suppliers clean and sanitize high-quality crab shells which are filled with Cornish crab meat that are cooked and selected to ensure high presentation standards. These shells are usually smaller than the crabs we receive, but they are sold in smaller weights.
- You can expect a total of 150g of meat, consisting of 100g of brown meat and 50g of white meat.
- They are high in zinc, selenium and copper, which help to boost the immune system.
- They are caught in pots in the fishing grounds between Lizard Point and Plymouth, and are normally available from May to October.
- Delicious as a standalone starter, with some doorstep white bread!
We rely on market catches, which may be affected by seasonal and weather changes. This could lead to us sending you partially defrosted crab.
