Our tuna when cooked to perfection, becomes a sensation for the senses.
Yellowfin or Bigeye tuna are stunningly beautiful fish, growing up to 2 meters long, with a blue-silver hue throughout. Tuna stays warm in cold seas because it contains a high level of myoglobin, a red protein.
They’re sold as fillets, which are best grilled or pan seared. They have a flavour that is very meaty, not dissimilar to beef.

Fresh fish is best eaten right away or within three days. It may arrive frozen, and in some instances, this product might be dispatched frozen and begin to defrost during transit. For this reason, it might not be suitable for freezing at home.
Store it in your fridge and pack it with ice, if possible.
To preserve the fish, put it directly into the freezer when it arrives and try to consume it within three months.
A helpful hint is to write the date on the packaging beforehand.
Avoid re-freezing it after it has defrosted.
